Slumber Party

This was a “come as you are” slumber party.

What is the appeal of a slumber party?

Is it an excuse to stay up late without aggravating your pare

Back Off, Jack

Here’s the story that unfolded before my camera.

As my friends will tell you, I have a calm personality for an otter.

It takes considerable irritation before I complain.

Have you ever known anyone like this guy, always in your face?

I’m ready to say, “Back off, Jack.”

Walk the Plank

When I snapped this photo, I felt sorry for the otter.

I wondered why the other otters made him walk the plank.

Shouldn’t they at least give him an eye patch or a pirate’s hat?

Sand Bath

When you think of a bath, you probably think of sitting in water or perhaps mud.

This is the first time my camera spotted someone taking a sand bath.

It appears that the sand removes anything stuck in his coat.

I’m sure he wants to be as sleek and smooth as he can so he can swim faster.

Howling at the Moon

When my camera saw this, I chuckled.

It seemed this otter thought he was a canine howling at the moon.

Have you ever howled at the moon?

If so, did it make you feel better?

How Rude!

To me, this expression appears rude.

In other cultures, it is a sign of respect, a war chant preceding battle, a sign of ferocity, or simple silliness.
