Sometimes, I catch a scene that makes me marvel at our natural urge to communicate across boundaries. When we don’t share language, we make simple gestures of friendship.
This one is between a human and a young orangutan. It reminds me of the idea of extending an olive branch to show goodwill.
Wasn’t it Solomon who told us that to have friends, we must first show ourselves to be friendly Pro 18:24 ?
When you don’t have an olive branch, you can simply use whatever is available. In this case, it seems to be working.

In Shakespeare’s Macbeth, we see the expression, “the BE all and END all” which means the central or most important element of something.
After years of use, people began to say, “Bs and Es” which sounds like “bee’s knees.”
It seemed to make sense because bees collect sweet pollen on their knees which suggests goodness.
The new expression thrived and the old one got lost.

I read about some experiments that showed people and animals yawn more in cooler weather than in hot weather. Do you yawn more in cold weather than in hot weather?
