Lion-Tailed Macaque
In German, the Lion-Tailed Macaque’s name is Bartaffe.
That means beard ape.
To me, the German word is more descriptive of what I see.
Doesn’t that silver-white mane look like a big beard?

Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock
Sam Kass invented the game Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock. Here’s how it goes.
Scissors cuts paper,
paper covers rock,
rock crushes lizard,
lizard poisons Spock,
Spock smashes scissors,
scissors decapitates lizard,
lizard eats paper,
paper disproves Spock,
Spock vaporizes rock,
and as it always has, rock crushes scissors.
I think Sam should have asked for my opinion before including me.
I don’t mind eating paper or poisoning Spock, but I’m NOT fond of the idea of a rock crushing me or scissors decapitating me.
Crunchy Snack
My rhino friend and I both enjoy crunchy snacks.
Personally, I think my potato chips taste better than his twigs.
To be fair, I must admit that I haven’t tried his twigs and he hasn’t tried my potato chips.
We may never know if one of us could convince the other to switch snacks.
For now, it is, “to each his own.”

Luna Moth
Visually, what I like most about the Luna Moth is the overall shape.
It reminds me of a stealth glider.
That, combined with the two eyespots, makes me think it would fit well in a SciFi story.
We could call it, “Invasion of the Luna Moths.”

It takes considerable irritation before I complain.

These flamingos were beak wrestling.
Perhaps that’s their version of arm wrestling.
