Hit the Snooze Button

It isn’t just animal activity that captures my camera’s attention.

Sometimes, it’s something that relates to my life.

In this case, it made me wish that I could hit the snooze button more often.

They Tagged Me

Here’s what I thought this kangaroo was saying to me.

“When my humans said they were going to tag me, I thought they were inviting me to a game of tag.

That sounded like fun. What happened next was not what I expected.

Instead of a fun game, I got this weird thing on my ear.”

Saki Monkey

I know this is a Saki Monkey, but for some reason my camera view tells me we should rename it.

How about the Durante Monkey?

Can you guess why I suggest that name?

Diving for Carrots

Getting a photo through a glass wall has its challenges, but this scene fascinated me.

Apparently, the zoo keepers wanted to make things interesting by putting carrots under water for the polar bear to retrieve.

How are carrots part of a polar bear diet?

Leg Tuck

Why do cats tuck their front legs underneath themselves while resting?

This appears to indicate they are comfortable, relaxed, and not in a situation that would require them to move quickly.

Why do some humans tuck one leg underneath themselves when they sit in a chair?

Do more short people do this than tall people?

If your feet don’t touch the floor when you sit all the way back in your chair, perhaps one leg tucked under is more comfortable.

Do you ever sit with one leg tucked under?

Pest or Work of Art?

The larvae of the African Moon Moth are pests.

It’s never fun to have something eat your plants.

On the other hand, the adult is spectacular.

I’ll stick to capturing photographs of the adult.

Blue Danger

I think of blue as a welcoming color.

In some cases, I would be wrong.

This Blue Poison Dart Frog secrets poison.

I’ll stay safely behind my camera.

I will not be tempted to touch it.
