How do you think the Rhinoceros Rat Snake got its name?
Does the nose look like a rhino horn?
The “rat” part of the name is because it likes to eat rodents.
It lives in the rainforests of northern Vietnam.
If you happen upon one, don’t worry, they are generally calm and rarely strike at anything but rodents or birds.
Even if it confuses you for a rat, it is nonvenomous.
I’m not sure what this foal is trying to say.
I’m not good at baby talk, human or horse.

I think I’ve lost it.
I was sure I left it here, but now I can’t find it.

I’m not sure what to do.
I picked up a log with my trunk and was content with it until I found a much bigger log.
Now what should I do?
Isn’t there a saying about “A log in the trunk is worth two in the sand pit?”
Should I keep the one I have or drop it and try for the bigger one?
That’s what I call a dilemma.
What would you do?

The Fritillary butterfly is a distant cousin of the Monarch butterfly.
Its name comes from the Latin word “fritillus” which means chessboard.
Frankly, I don’t see how anyone would think this butterfly looks like a chessboard.
Perhaps those who name butterflies have a bigger sense of imagination than I do.

It’s fun to capture animal expressions that seem human.
This appears to be a look surprise. Say what?
I wonder what this sea lion sees that is so amazing.

When it comes to something new, my policy is to taste it.
You never know how yummy it could be.
In this case, I was disappointed. The taste was not yummy.
Wish me better luck next time.

When you take a nap, do you prefer to nap alone or with a friend?
Which of you will admit that your napping friend is a teddy bear or other stuffed animal?
If you are a “grown-up,” there’s no need to be embarrassed.
Many adults enjoy stuffed animals.
After all, stuffed animals don’t snore or steal your blanket.

What’s with the kiss?
Is beak-touching a variation on what we call a kiss? So far, non
e of my penguin friends have answered the question.
Admittedly, we don’t discuss deeply personal things.
To them, I’m simply the crazy lady who visits to take photographs of them.
