Glug, Glug

Nikita is a skillful diver

He requires no scuba gear, though the bubbles make it seem as though he has it hidden somewhere.

Are you that comfortable in the water?

Zebra Tells a Joke

A police officer in the big city stopped a man in a car with a zebra sitting next to him in the front seat. “What are you doing with that zebra?” The officer exclaimed, “You should take him to the zoo.”

The man agreed, “That’s a good idea.”

The following week, the same police officer saw the man with the zebra again in the front seat of his car. This time, the man and zebra were both wearing sunglasses.

Irritated, the police officer stopped the man, “I though you were going to take that zebra to the zoo!”

The man smiled and said, “I did. We had such a good time, we decided to go to the beach this weekend.”

Piglet Play

I think this is supposed to be a toy. It does roll nicely when I push it.

My problem is that I can’t see where I’m going and sometimes find myself bumping into someone or getting stuck somewhere.

Should my toys come with safety warnings? Maybe this is not a toy.

Tall One

My, aren’t you the tall one? At least it appears that way from where I sit.

It’s interesting how things appear from different perspectives.

If I stood up, I bet you wouldn’t look so tall.

I’m making myself a personal challenge to try to see things from different perspectives.

If I see you behaving in a way I don’t like, I’ll ponder what might be troubling you.

My aim will be to not jump to conclusions about your intentions.

Of course, that does NOT excuse any bad behavior that you might display (just sayin’).

Name Your Poison

This is an Eastern Black Swallowtail.

It uses a variety of plants as hosts for its caterpillars, even poison hemlock.

Interestingly, hemlock is what the ancient Greeks used to execute prisoners.

Think about it.

A tiny caterpillar can munch on a poisonous plant like candy while we would drop down dead if we tried the same thing.

This gives a new meaning to the expression, “Name your poison.”
